It is a 45" tall red tropical hibiscus planted contained by the center of my yard and have done beautifully adjectives year. Now it is getting cooler but I can't bring it in the house. How do I prepare it for the winter and still enjoy it survive? I'm in South Jersey. Thanks!

You are contained by a colder zone for a topical Hibiscus. I would recommend bringing it in for the winter. I live surrounded by zone seven and we recommend bringing the tropical Hibiscus inside. If you really want to keep it outside, prune it spinal column before the first frost and put a unhealthy layer of mulch around the plant. This will relief insulate it. If it's really a tropical hibiscus it won't survive winter outdoors. No winter in the tropics= limp tropical plants in winter.
Temperate hibiscus are the ones that will tolerate winters. My hibiscus is indoors adjectives year round, so I'm sorry that I can't help you on the winterizing bit. :(
Answers: It sounds great & I am sure it is wonderful, but if you want to save if from winter weather you must lucklessly and carefully transplant it to a pot, exchange the soil and spray fertilizers during autum a slight prune would help it be strong for the subsequent season. Take it inside the house or it will not tolerate the winter.
