There's a raccoon in our backyard that comes out at night and make a big mess.
Call Animal Control. Contact the local animal shelter. They will know if there is a service for this type of animal in your nouns.
You can rent a live trap, catch him and move him AT LEAST 4 miles away. The deposit you put down for the trap will be returned when you return the trap. The raccoon needs to be moved at least possible 4 miles or it'll walk back. It also wants to be released near a water source such as a mere or river, and you need to do this before spatter gets too far along so they know the territory. Early spring is already passed, so you don't own to worry much about babies (if this is a female).
Thing is, where on earth there's one there's usually 8 or 9. You'd need to move the entire family. Do NOT move any possums, skunks or cats you may grasp in the trap, those are local, they don't cause the mess raccoons do, and the cats won't expected survive release in a new environment.

Fill the Trash Can next to a little bit of water And later throw the Stinky Stuff in it.But the trash can by a pick nick table or somthing for a while bit shorter than the barrel or trash can. Then make a sort of bridge extending from the tabe partly ( or a little less than half) bearing acrose the trash can. So the racoon will walk acrose the bridge and will peek over for the smelly sardines and consequently cause of his wate. will fall straight surrounded by and the water will way down his corse fur making him incapeble to get out... You can catch it, but will just keep hold of having to do so. We have roaming hordes contained by our neighborhood, just get used to them. Most of ours are nearly bring under control, will walk right across the road in front of you, or stay on the porch consumption cat food if any is left, while you stand there. They are certainly quite cute and entertaining. ok get a box trap and tuna. ok in a minute open the tuna and put it in the rear, if its double sided you dont have to open both sides in a minute just wait, i caght 22 one month doing this it be 3 years ago and i have only see one since now i just receive cats and let em go only shot them b4 they bite u shoot it twice and then wait 30 minutes its better to spoil a trap than 20 shots in the stomach and a scar
The best entry to do is to remove whatever is attracting it - then it won't own a reason to hang out within your yard and will move on. If you can't do that, next you might want to call professionals. Raccoons can carry a few diseases that they can transmit to humans and to pets. They're also large enough and strong plenty to do some serious damage if you happen to corner one, and raccoons that live in close proximity people generally aren't afraid of them. I won't mess near them, and I won't recommend messing with them to anyone else. In most places it is illegal to trap feral animals and move them without a license. If you are caught, you face HEAVY fines.
You stipulation to call a wildlife removal company to have them trap and dispose of the animal. If nearby is one raccoon, there may be more. The chances of you getting bitten are illustrious if you do it yourself. Then they have to do rabies tests on the animal, and possibly start rabies treatment on you.
Yes it costs money, but better safe and sound than sorry.

Bait it near corn or apples. When he goes in, the door will close and after you can move him to a different place.
get a dog, it will startle the raccoon. You don't. Call animal control.
put your dog in the backyard. or but some food in a pouch as bait and kill it . get a professional. raccoons are specified to have rabies.
If you're not prepared to shoot it on site, try using a trap. You can find small game traps at lots of stores like Fleet Farm etc.
Also, an elder technique I've heard of is that they like shiny objects, and once they own a hold of something shiny, they won't let go. I've never see this personally so I can't say it's 100% true, but conceivably you could rig up some sort of hand trap to where if the animal grab a shiny object, it will be unable to escape because his appendage is stuck and can't pull it out. Be creative with that one.(Nails contained by a hole in a log, etc.)
