How do I support raspberries? I know you're supposed to put a strong post at each failure...
I know you're supposed to put a strong post at each failure of the row and put wires from one to the other, but mine will be in three shorter rows (6 plants each) so that will be six posts, and I'm on a REALLY tight budget. Can I support my raspberries using wicker canes? If so, do I in recent times use one cane per plant or produce some kind of structure? Any other tips or accepted wisdom?

Growing Raspberries
Supporting Brambles
You don't have to support them but they will hold better access to the sun if they have the support to keep hold of upright.

Suggestion
You can buy what is call "T" poles at any home improvement store the selection in size from 2 1/2 foot to 8 feet high-ceilinged. The tallest being beneath $3 and all you hold to do is pound them in near a hammer and ties the lead around them. Put them at least 2 foot below the surface so you could buy the 6' size.
Yes, you can try bamboo, though they may tumble over eventually.
But - you don't HAVE to support raspberries. I have a patch that's in the order of 3 feet by 15 foot. They basically grow straight up, and the ones on the sides droop a bit over, but I've not found that to be a problem.
