I bought some dwarf lily bulbs from walmart a while ago for my aquarium. one of the two bulbs grew and i want to split it and give some of the plant to my friend. how do i go something like doing this so i will have two lily plants?
Answers:    When they are large ample, they should form more bulbs on their sides. If there are two heads presently inside the bulb, you might be able to tear them apart thoughtfully with your hands, but you will call for to be careful to cut the base so that the bulbs do not break bad of it - because a bulb with no root pad attached at the stand is a bulb that is going to die. It would be safer to wait until the larger bulb decidest to form a separate bulb on its side on its own - you still obligation to be careful that those get some of the root wipe when you take them off, but the originial bulb is much smaller number at risk when you remove a side bulb than trying to split the main bulb mass.
