This is probably a rather silly interview, but all the direction I've found so far says to label the fence at lowest 1.2 metres high and to sink it 30cm into the ground at an angle. So far, so honourable - but how do I get contained by?! Surely it would ruin the point of the fence if I make tracks a gap or clear a sort of gate minus sinking the wire underground? I am confused. And a neophyte at gardening in luggage you hadn't guessed.
Answers: We have simply put chicken wire around our allotment, in the region of a month ago. We bought one metre high flex, with 2.5cm holes and burried it 1 foot beneath ground, turning it out wards so that the rabbits can't burrow below it. So far so good, the rabbits haven't get it. We manage to step over it so at hand is no need for a total admission money. If you are in the UK we found the cheapest place to buy the chain from was Wilkinsons at lb2.99 a 10 metre roll.
Unless you hold hundreds of invading rabbits, you don't need to step to the lengths you enjoy described. You need to hold a fence almost 1.5 - 2 feet glorious buried about 6 inches. You can step over it effortlessly. All you need to do is discourage the rabbits. If you put something they resembling to eat outside the blockade, and well away from it they will be smaller amount likely to try and invade your garden. I find the occasional all right placed airgun pellet is very significant in discouraging rabbits.
