The trees are tall, difficult than the roofline. I have 3 total, adjectives in the fund yard. 2 are effective the house, about 2 foot from the house. 1 is near the side barrier, about 2 foot from the fence. How high-ceilinged should these be? How do I prune them to keep them underneath control?
Answers: Prune them in the winter. It depends on how you want them to look. The elevated ones are too large to convert, just preserve them from getting taller.
When winter comes and there are no leaves or flowers vanished on the tree, trim it a good 3 foot below the hight you want the tree. Do that every year.
If you want them to look more like bushes afterwards cut the tops but not the branches. If you want them to look more like a tree cut the branches stale every year (in the spring).
Crape Myrtle trees react to a bearing of pruning called Bonsai. The miniature trees used to practice Bonsai are prearranged as Bonsai Trees. If you need to practice, specifically the best way.
Just be ruthless and bring at least 1/3 of the growth rotten them. They'll grow back much smaller amount spindly.
