I bought some pumpkin seeds and now I want to plant them. I live contained by Germany and the weather and land is different here, can anyone help me?
I also enjoy one more question: what is froth?
Froth is foam
Schuim
If u have courtyard u can start a container garden off the ground so the the pumkins wont get frost / frozen. it have to be enclose so that they will not freeze
Pumpkins seeds should have be started already indoors before the last tough "frosts". So you are running late - you could follow the regular directions but Germany is pretty far north, so your growing season will end more rapidly than mine. I am in zone 7 - now parts of Germany are zone 7, but parts are also zone 6 and although you will not be getting much colder than my nouns, I am farther south, so your winter will start earlier. Pumpkins take a long time to ripen! So I would ask around to find out when your first bloodshed frosts happen in the crash (which will end your growth pumpkin season, even though the pumpkins themselves can handle some frosts and snow.) The work backwards from that frost date and check the "days to maturity" on your nut pack to see if you have a chance to still obtain some pumpkins off that plant before the frost kill the vines.
If that works - you need to put them in well-draining soil within full sun and water them well. Check the soil to be sure nearby is a normal Ph and adjust the nutrients or fertilize as requried.
Down here in the southeastern US, we want to have some shelter from the sun for the plants, but if they get too much they will mildew on the leaves due to our big humidity - at least you should be able to of late put them right out in a sunny area and they will grow!
Good luck!
P.S. - unless it is a misprint or fruitless translation for "frost", froth is that foam on the top of a freshly tapped or poured beer!
Answers: You plant them like peas in a pod way you would anywhere else.
They want rich, well drained soil. And awfully very sunny spot. Make a "hill" (adding compost to the soil if you have it), in the order of 18" wide and 6" high. Plant 6 seed in the hill, almost one inch down. Keep well watered.
When the sprouts appear, thin to the strongest three plants. They inevitability a LOT of room, and each one will send out a roaming vine possibly 20 feet long.
"froth" is like "foam"...close to the foamy head on a pint of beer. (not sure what froth has to do next to pumpkins, though)
