How do I mow really high grass? Should I mow once at a soaring blade setting, next again at a lower setting?
Answers: Yes, I agree, highest blade setting first as otherwise you will merely rip the grass out! When a gardener friend of mine first attacked my overgrown garden for me, he strimmed it all down first and moved out it for a few weeks, then come back and mowed it on the second to unbeatable blade setting. The strimmed grass apparently helped to protect the refined grass from the harsh sunlight...until he could come fund and mow. (not sure if thats right or wrong but its what I was told!!)Must be right as my grass grew lush and green after that! You would also probably do the garden some honest by feeding it too.
