I m doing it for a sciience fair and im lost on everything
Answers: Get a packet of lima beans that are used for nut (you should be able to bring back them at a nursery). Firmly fill cups or small pots next to good potting soil (also at a nursery) that have been moistened. Be sure the pot have drainage holes. Make a hole in the top of the soil (just sticking your finger contained by should do the trick), and put one seed within each cup/pot; they're pretty big seed, so I wouldn't put more than one in a container. Cover the pip, and give it a bit of marine. Place the cups/pots in a sunny spot where on earth they will stay at 70F or above. Keep the soil moist, but not sopping wet; never tolerate it dry out. You should see young bean plants contained by a few days.
If you want the seeds to germinate faster, you can soak them overnight surrounded by tepid hose down before planting.
Take a huge plastic cup and punch a small hole in the bottom and saturate with dirt or potting soil. Plant your lima bean going on for 1 inch into the dirt. Put the cup on a styrofoam plate to catch the excess marine when you water it. Water at tiniest once a week or when the soil feels dry. Put the cup contained by the sunlight. Your bean will begin to germinate contained by about 1 week.
