I have one 20 year antiquated large ginger tree that has spikes growing the branches. The other tree is in the order of 7 years old and no spikes. I hear you need a manly and female ginger tree but i never get flowers to polinate? Does anyone know any tricks or know what i call for?
Answers: 1. Citrus trees do not have mannish and female trees.
2. The singular reasons that trees will not bloom are ignore, and if they are shaded by other trees. You should have a few fruit even surrounded by these cases. Fertilize your trees with any suitable fertilizer containing micro nutrients. Do this 3 or 4 times per year. If you can spray them with a citrus nutritional spray you can speed up the growth process. Citrus will hold some nutrients through their leaves. A citrus oil spray will verbs up any accumulated insect pests. Citrus grease is approved for organic citrus production. Both of these items should be available at a garden center at modest cost. Water your trees regularly if you do not carry enough rainfall.
Citrus are easy to hold care of but they do requirement some fertilizer or the trees gradually decline.
