Ok, maybe I'm a short time ago being greedy or retentive.
I bought a nice, fresh tree 2 weeks back Christmas, had it fresh cut on the lot, next drilled about a dozen holes contained by the base when I get it home.
Instead of a stand, I set it in a 5-gallon bucket, full of hot dampen at first, then regular hose down.
And it's stayed green and fresh-smelling through Christmas, New Year's...and Chinese New Year's...
Granted I've only taken bad the decorations now (been kinda busy) but the tree still seem and smells fresh, although it is dropping a few needles now.
Today I'm going to recut the foot, mist it and drill more holes, in shield the sap has clogged, and try for a moment aspirin.
I'm going for Easter at least.
Any suggestions on how to hold on to my new pet/houseplant/mascot around till subsequent Christmas?
Answers: shellac it
