let me correct you...It is nut sedge or ashen sedge. If you pull sedge it solely spreads. a lot of sod farm have problems near sedge. I also-as a landscaper- have have problems with sedge. I found a product call sedge hammer. It is a herbacide that can be used on grass but not on attractive flowers. It can be used as an over the top spray on some bushes.
