I planted some zucchini in my garden. So far, my 5 plants enjoy only produced one zucchini. The zucchini is growing hastily, both in length and circumference. It is in the order of 8 inches long and nearly 3" in diameter. I put a float near it yesterday, and it grew another 1/2" contained by length since yesterday. The thing is, I am going away tomorrow and won't be back for 2 days. I'm afraid if I loaf until Friday to pick it, it will be too tough to eat. Should I pick the zucchini earlier I leave, or dawdle until I return on Friday?
Answers:    It should have already be picked at around 6 inches.
Pick it for sure. Not only because of the size but on adjectives squash plants leaving it on slows the start of new fruit develpoment.
