is there a way i can hose down my plants while i'm away..without costing me a lot...say-so a home made resevoir or so ?.thanks in mortgage
Answers:    Get wicks that are used for oil lamps (you can go and get them at Lowes/Home Depot) and soak in water. (Get the cavernous ones.)

Cut long enough to reach from a bowl of river to the plant container. Make sure the wick goes all the bearing to the bottom of the water bowl so it won't fall out. Place the other completion in the soil of the plant container. The wick will soak up the water and continously nurture the plant, keeping it moist.
Get empty plastic bottle of softdrinks or mineral water preperably 2 liters or larger later pierce a small hole at the cap and big hole at the bottom then put hose on it and tie it upside down and hang it to plants. If water drip so slow, you can adjust the hole contained by the cap. put water contained by a big jug and place strips of fabric surrounded by the jug and the other end surrounded by the plant place the jug higer than the plants and the water will crawl down as needed
