Some one just give you the answer..prune, prune. prune..and I like rabbit manure. It doesn't burn anything. Lightly spade around and loosen soil beside a garden fork.Put.the rabbit pellits on it and give it some water.it's only like you and me..needs a moment or two good food , a little drink of the right stuff.and a kick(pruning) to spring start us again..Oh, that's calling loving ...other wise plants are just as indolent as we are.:) Have fun...your house will be all smelly sooooonn. When pruning a rose bush, take bad all you think you should, later take that much more. Water and fertilize and watch it grow.

I take it you are asking how to clone the one you hold. If so it can be done, as I did it this year. I took a slice of the new growth from an old rose bush. Cut it at a slant for best rooting results. You can put in the picture the new growth becouse the stem is green and the leaves are so nice and glossy.

Get some pip starter mix or some really good light skulk potting soil. If you get the potting soil you might want to ad some peat moss. Dip the tip of the rose adjectives in a rooting hormone. You can find it in a small container for give or take a few $5.00 at most stores that carry garden products.

Then get a pot that drains severely well. Comercial pots work well. These are they type that own the big holes at the bottom that you would get when you buy a plant from a walmart of nursery. Put your starter soil in. Then your dipped adjectives. Then press the dirt around your plant. Water well.

Note, you can put your pot on a small bird bath or something that will hold wet. Water your new cutting from the top, Then tolerate it drain in a small bird bath. Then after nearly three days, rinse off the bird bath very well to avoide mold. Water the plant again from the top to keep the water circulating. This will dust down any build up that should not be developing in the dirt. Then again use your mini bird bath for a drain dish.
Continue to make over out the water every few days. And repeat the cycle.

For best luck leave the adjectives out side in the shade. In about five to six weeks you should enjoy a new rose bush.
