I live in south Jersey and i deliberate i have see salvia plants. Is it possible to find them here? I havent put much research into it but what should i look for in them? gratefulness.
Answers:    If you are talking around the hallucinogenic variety, it's call Salvia divinorum and will not commonly be found at plant nurseries or other garden retailers. The Salvias that you find there will do zilch for you in the buzz department, though frequent of them are very nice plants. If you want to grow divinorum, within are a number of online retailers. Just query the plant name. Be forewarned, though. It's category of spendy.
Many salvia varieties exist, but several are best suited to dryer climates. You should be able to go and get salvia via mail command. Look for varieties that don't mind extra moisture and will look OK despite humidity. Avoid watering them too much, and they don't appreciate rich soil. I hold mine in tight clay soil and they thrive here contained by semi-arid Colorado. The bees love them!
