Help!! Tiny bugs (some that fly) are amidst the soil of my houseplants!? They're edible plants (basil and lentils), and they're growing within organic soil....

They're edible plants (basil and lentils), and they're growing within organic soil. I don't want to use chemicals because I use them within my food, so what can I use to kill or repel the buggies minus hindering the growth of my plants? Thanks surrounded by advance for any replies!
Answers:    You obligation to let the soil dry out contained by between watering.
We had some of those bugs surrounded by the plants in my organization. The ones that fly are called fungus gnats and they come from over watering the plants. The "plant lady" at work suggested that we stop watering the plants until the soil on the top get visibally dry. It worked in our bureau, I hope it helps within your home.
