My (huge) backyard has be overtaken with bur/sticker weed. I have two dogs that come within every day covered within them. We bought weed killer and a spreader but I'm also concerned in the order of the grass regrowth. Since the entire yard is covered surrounded by these freakin things (in some areas they are the only entity there and they own taken over so that grass couldn't survive). I'm worried that the weeds will adjectives die and then I'll purely be left next to millions of dead sticker weed and no grass to cover them back up, so my poor dogs don't own to suffer being covered within them (seriously, my shorthaired lab came contained by with probably 100 of them on her wager on and legs). Is there a bearing to kill the weed and also reseed my lawn within the patches where on earth the weeds are specifically dense? I don't know anything about this form of stuff so advice is greatly appreciated!
Answers: Your contained by need of a plan to advance your lawn.
1.) Apply a broadleaf weed murderer.
2.) Apply lime 40# per 1000sq. ft. (This will help hold the weeds from returning and sweeten the ground.
Your message did not mention where on earth you live, however in the midwest at this time of year when it starts warm and rain usually slows down.
3.) I would sow a grassland rye grass seed and next in the middle of September pip and fertilize with a Fesgue grass core. Good Luck.
if what ur talking give or take a few is the weed i'm thinkin about the one and only way I know how to gain rid of them is to pull them up by paw individually then rake the ground horizontal and spread the grass seed. After a week or so the grass should start growing.
