- is it ok to walk off it in this container with no soil and purely rocks and water?
- is it safe contained by my room?
- how much sun should it get a day?
- will i obligation to relocate it since i heard they get pretty big?
------ and any other info that u find important for a new rattan owner to know!
thankks 10 pts for the person who answers everything
It is OK to leave it within water most people do, I own mine in soil.
Alive and well for more or less 8 years.
Change the water at least once a week. It simply needs enough river to cover the roots. If that is an inch that is OK. But once a week is ample. Some people do it much less.
It will do great surrounded by your room.
No sun, bright lite please, mine is in the bathroom with no porthole.
Mine is about 3ft tall, I preserve it cut back, new pieces trademark great gifts.
I have moved it to every room of my house at one time or another.
And if I have forgotten anything her is My favorite contact.
This is a great site for newbies.
This will tell you all you involve to know about your bamboo.

Additional information:
Since sea contains no nutrients per se, the best care for lucky bamboo plants includes the occasional use of a dilute solution of plant food. Without soil to buffer the fertilizer salt, the roots are susceptible to burning if the solution is too strong. Use any standard house plant food at about one-tenth the recommended dilution rate each time you renovation the water.
Lucky rattan is very hardy. They do best in cool moist places next to high humidity. I have have 4 of them for years. I potted mine as soon as I got them. In the winter I keep them within my room with a plant light. In the summer I put them outside. They can tolerate dry and hot but they don't close to it. They don't grow as well as when I keep them inside where on earth I can spray them. Enjoy them they live a long time. 1. morning and evening
2. u must put soil an water
3. safe surrounded by your room but atleast u shoul give it a an hour of sunlight
4. yes
Answers: Hi
I have have the same lucky bamboo plants for 3 years, and they are thriving..so I guess I can answer this within confidence.
How often to water? I dampen it every week..enough so that the roots are covered (roots are white, with sometimes pink or red colour as well)
Is it ok to leave in its container? Yes! do not flier to soil you will kill the bamboo. They are a hose down plant so they love water all the time around the roots..soil is desperate for them,,,unless you put in a pinch to add some nutrients to the dampen,,,,, just a pinch and no more...
is it safe within your room? Yes,,,,,,why not. they need some light, not much,,,even cloudiness.
how much sun a day? well,,,,,,,,however much contained by a day...just place it by a skylight..and let mother nature provide the night light.
to relocate? Yes they can grow tall. what I do is just snip the elevated branch off (bamboo grow about 2 or 3 branches. Put the branch contained by water,,,,,,,and do the same as above,,,,,you will enjoy lots of healthy and nice bamboo.
Please minute,,,,,,,every 2-4 months change the water completely...this vehicle dump all of it out then attach clean water. Add a pinch of soil for nutrients. Keep the roots drizzling at all times. I also used some "plant nutrient" sticks...I break little pieces off and throw them into the hose down..the plants thrive. In the time I had my bamboo (3 years) they grew almost 3 and a half feet..they are glibly maintained..and beautiful plants.
