I have a plumeria specifically about 3 years frail. The garage door came down on one of the largest branches from the base and broke it stale. Should I cut both main branches support and start cuttings? Will I lose this plant because the cutting is too severe? It broke more or less 2-1/2 feet from the top (about 2 foot from the base). Will my cuttings survive the winter (Texas Gulf Coast) since the plumeria usually goes dormant this time of year?
Answers: I other grow my plumeria indoors in the winter and do not permit them go dormant. I own included a site that may be helpful near the cutting. I know one year one of the fundamental branches of my plant broke and I started it with great nouns. The remaining plant survived. It look a little strange but it did bloom again the subsequent season. Good luck.

Cut off the diluted portion. Being the dormant season, you may be lucky. However, I'd also move the plant since you will again catch it on the garage door.
