They are in full sun except from 8a- nightfall; they be planted about 6 months ago; the leaves are turning washed out and brown; the flowers are dying when young and unopened. What form of fertilizer? how often? Are they okay surrounded by full sun here?
Answers: Hey neighbor!
I'm here in LA too :-).
Gardenia's requirement shade, but if yours are getting only hasty morning sun(before 8am then they should be fine).I'm not sure if you designed 8pm or am?. The heat can also effect them. It will incentive them to yellow and not flower awfully well. I own two of them and one gets a moment or two more sun than the other and it always looks low. I'm waiting for the banana trees nearby to spread in for the shade. Anyway, generate sure they are getting enough hose. In the heat that we are going to hold this weekend they should be watered daily within the early morning hours. If they do receive daytime sun then you might want to any plant something nearby that can bestow them shade or move them to a shady location. For a fertilizer you can go next to the basic, Miracle grow adjectives purpose, then it will help out all of your plants. You can also budge with a tropical fertilizer. I use Hibiscus food on adjectives of my tropicals and they love it. If after the feeding they dont modernize then you may hold an insect which can then be taken watchfulness of with an insecticidle soap.
Good Luck
