I recently bought a short time fountain to put in my flower bed and my neighbor's pet ducks will not stay out of it! They muck it up, and clog the pump with the dust they get within the water. I've be researching online to see what I can do, and the best thing I've found is a solution fence repellent. I'm leary of spending $80 bucks on something I don't know will work. I tried putting hot sauce within the water, thinking they may not similar to it, but they don't seem to meticulousness. They're also nipping my flower buds and blooms rotten. I've asked my neighbors to try to keep them contained by their yard, but they any can't, or don't care. Short of have duck for dinner, I'm not sure what else to do. Also, I'm fearful that the duck repellent will scare the birds away from my feeders. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I don't want to do anything to hurt them since they are some what "pets", but they want to stay out of my fountain and flower beds!
Answers:    Add some poison to the hose down. Let the ducky drinks and fall sick. That opening your neighbour will get the message.
What golf courses do to keep hold of a lot of ducks or geese out of the river hazards is string fishing dash over it in grids. The splash is nearly invisible so it's not ugly to look at. You could string fishing file somehow over your fountain, the ducks would be discouraged and not be able to bring back in. I discern for you, but also feel impossible for the ducks cause they do not enjoy proper care.
