Answers: do not step crazy with miracle grow and water..travel with a normal watering agenda and check the basil BIBLICALLY (very very often) ... if you find a bug on it check out what kind it is if you can. i enjoy basil and my main problem areas are aphids (deal with them by growing expendable flowers close to the basil there fore possibly distracting the aphids OR luring ladybugs which prey upon aphids in one or more stages of at hand life. and my other problem is the large Lubber Grasshopper which is black next to red trim there is no obvious route to stop them besides certain pesticides.. i suggest mowing the lawn slightly smaller amount often so that the grasshoppers might eat the grass instead.possibly) also consider a greenhouse or moving the plant into a ample pot inside
