Help Growing Oak trees? Has anyone ever heard of using PVC tubing to grow oak trees...
Has anyone ever heard of using PVC tubing to grow oak trees from acorns. I was thinking more or less placing the tubes in a box and placing dirt inside with the acorn to promote weighty roots, keeping them out of harms way with the animals, taking up as little space as possible while they are growing and an effortless way to transport from place to place. Do you think this solution may work, or do you enjoy any other solutions to grow many trees in a confined space since transplanting. Secondly, how long (or tall) do you think I could keep them surrounded by there without cause any major damage.
I don't reckon it would work. But maybe if you sprinkled fairy dust on the roots.
Living here within N. Florida I do not under stand your problem, I have Oak trees growing adjectives over the place. If you do not keep then cut final they will over take the pasture. Just turn you head away and in that is a other Oak tree, next time you are in Lloyd Florida, and enjoy a truck, I will give you all the trees you can verbs. from 6" trees to 6', what ever you can Handel. Let them grow naturally by the rain. Oak tress call for a lot of water so i am sure you would not know how to get all that. The precipitation is just enough. >>> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...
