I think they are the prettiest things...and I love making conserve of wild strawberries. When I be a child we found them in the field in great patch ~ they even scented the upper air !
Answers: When I bought my place here in town z4, I found a small patch on the east side of an matured carriage house out rear. When I try to relocate them they die, so where they is, is where on earth they stay. As a kid I remember finding them on the east edge of wooded areas. Thanks for lighting my memory. RScott
We grow them at our house within Vancouver, BC. They do really well; we a moment ago leave them alone, lots of sun and hose down. The berries are delicious, if impressively small. And yes they do smell sweet.
