Has anyone tried milky spore for grub control?
Yes, it does work but it takes a couple of years to be rid of the grubs. You will involve to re-apply. Read the directions on the container.
No. I just put out pie plates of beer postponed in the evening. The grubs slither contained by, have a drink, and another drink, attain drunk and then they drown. I void and wash the plates surrounded by the morning and refill them at dark. Alternatively you can sink small containers into the ground for the evening beverage for the grubs.

Answers: Yes, it was almost useless. I tried "Grub Away Nematodes" from Gardens Alive once the problem become serious and moles had moved contained by and the moles fled within soon - the nematodes attack ALL the grub forms, while milky spore does one type but not the other (I think it misses the Japanese beetles). Also milky spore will filch out your earth worms!
I like the nematodes, in spite of the special handling to use them (temperature and application) because they are specific, really fast-acting, and they a short time ago die once they run out of grubs to eat! Very targeted and efficient.
