Hard freeze tonight? I'm in Florida, and they're forecasting it to be 28 degree tonight...

I'm in Florida, and they're forecasting it to be 28 degree tonight with a snake chill in the teens! I've moved my potted plants into the garage. Will my crown-of-thorns cactus be ok outside?
Leaves within the Garden as Mulch?
Answers:    When we go and get hard freezes(we live within south texas, so not often lol..it'll be roughly speaking 30 here tonight), anything my mom doesn't bring inside gets covered near blankets and one of those big blue tarps. She's got a huge crown of thorns surrounded by a pot that she's had outside for probably close to 10 years in a minute, it does fine outside year round. And everything is pushed back into a corner(as much as they can be anyway).
Lawn and Garden culture can you assist me?
Is this local and in the ground? You could cover it next to a blanket or something heavier.
