Hanging plant that is to say almost impossible to assassinate? I live in Wisconsin and every year I put out two...

I live in Wisconsin and every year I put out two potted limp plants over my front steps and every year I end up next to dead plants because I forget to hose down them and they are in the full sun for most of the morning. I would be very appreciative to anyone that can describe me of a plant that looks good contained by a hanging picnic basket and is TOUGH.
Thanks!
Answers:    petunias and bacopas starting nasturtium from seed but no thing what you start you must follow some sort of watering schedule or move the baskets to a more sheltered place
Try Portulaca. It is variety of a succulent pland that does not need a great deal of water, but it have really pretty blooms and comes back every year. When it grows, it will grow over the sides of your pot and be really pretty. I live where on earth the wind blows really bleak and have tried so copious pretty hanging baskets and the flowers usually cessation up dying because of the high bend, but portulaca seems to thrive through anything.
