Any corn experts out there? Can you look at the corn plants within the green containers and tell me if you expect they are too close together? Due to lack of space I am attempting to grow corn surrounded by pots in my backyard.

corn should not be grown in containers within the first place. But you might get nouns is you have one plant to a pot. Just wet them and watch out when the roots pop out of the ground. A little is regular but too much is no good
I don't know about growing corn surrounded by containers. Why don't you plant your corn in the ivy bed? The corn will grow high, but the ivy will stay low. Even if the ivy climbs the corn stalk, it won't hurt the corn stalks. Your big problem with the corn within pots, is pollination. Without that, you will not get corn.
For the tomatoes, I am growing them up side down! That may be a better opportunity for you. Look up "growing tomatoes up side down" on the net. The sites will show you pictures and share you how to do it. But don't buy those manufactured things. Do it the original agency, using a 5 gallon bucket.
This is my first year trying it. I bought the plants at Walmart at the begining of March and planted them in the 5 gallon containers on March 20th, and hung the plants up side down.
Today, out of 4 buckets next to one plant each, I own 45 tomatoes growing. The plants are so huge, I can't believe it. They are planted in Scotts, moisture control potting soil.
I decision I could show you pictures like you did yours, but I own not mastered that yet.
By the track, I am originally from N. J., but retired to central Georgia where on earth I mostly grow Pecan trees..
Answers: Depends on what type of corn. Our sweet corn requirements to be at least 8 inches apart. Corn also requirements pollination so they need dozens and dozens of plants to undertake that otherwise you will get corn cobbs next to no corn. Last year only some of my corn survived ¨C merely 3 dozen plants and I only get about 5 sort of ¡®complete¡¯ ears of corn. This year I hope adjectives 80 plants come up.
