In the spring i started to grow a little lavender plant, in a minute it is big, there are no flowers...Are at hand any uses for the leaves?

I also live in Ohio and enjoy brought the potted plant in for the winter, will it survive subsequent to a window?

Answers:    First, trim the plant.Saving the leaves and stems. Take the stems and wipe up gently, afterwards allow to dry. After they are all dry, appropriate a rubber band and product a bundle of leaves and stems. Hang this bundle upside down in a newspaper bag, preferably contained by a dark closet. After roughly 2 weeks, remove the bundle and place in a pretty dish contained by your bedroom. They make wonderful potpourri.
There are dishes you can spawn with lavender as economically. The leaves are good seep in tea, or surrounded by salads. Just look it up on the Internet.
I have in the order of 200 mature lavender plants, and they are so nice to own around. In the spring and summer, they mix their scent with my patchouli and mint..glory.
I think if you save the plant in a sunny fanlight, and do not over water, it will survive. I keep hold of my new plants inside during the cold winter months surrounded by Virginia. They do pretty well, if I can maintain the cats from laying on them.

I imagine the potted one will be OK as long as its quite thaw in the house...
The lavender leaves could be used to draw out some grease for use in the hip bath or as a astringent with a plinth oil for your obverse...Lavender leaves dried and put in an frail sock under your pillow will induce a relaxing sleep...the broad Strong smell of the plant will be lovely in the house too.
