Seeking a budget minded solution to a large barren dirt area close several dryer vents that nothing seem to want to grow in. Must be able to tolerate steam and not be easily movable by kids (such as pea gravel, bricks, etc that they can hurt each other with). Thanks!
How about a "convertion" extension for the dryer vent so the hot air is directed upward instead of downward, check with Home Depot, Lowes, places similar to that or possible make one of your own to fit over the existing one.
There are small dryer kits that you can purchase for the come to an end of the dryer vent. It's a rectangular box or cylinder with holes in it to consent to out the heat.
Make sure that you use the right dryer exhaust house (not plastic) . Read this article:

Answers: Could you distribute an idea of how large an nouns we are talking about? It would come across pretty unusual for a typical dryer vent to prevent grass from growing unless you really have an extreme amount of air pressure coming from the dryer itself. The presence of dryer vent may just be coincidental. Is the area heavily or even in part shaded? What type of soil do you have?
