I am typically what you would call a "green thumb" i hold started new plants in the past for friends and had no problem getting them to grow roots, i enjoy tried on 2 different occasions to start a current plant, and it will NOT root, the jar it is in is collecting allge.... anyone know how to get hold of them to root!?
Answers: Cut off close to the node-the spot on the stem that looks giving of like a knuckle coming out and put for a time rooting hormone on it if you're having difficulty getting it to root surrounded by water. Or knick the stem (the vining part) contained by half departing some still attached and not completely cut off, put the wounded segment in the ground (still attached) and dampen and wait for in the region of 10-14 days-that should guarantee roots. Then completely detach, once you have a few well brought-up roots. Good luck. I have even simply broken off pieces of my pothos and stuck them contained by the dirt beside the rest of my plant. Trick is keeping moist but not sloppy wet.
Take a stem, coil it around on a pot of moist soil mix, and pin the nodes to the soil. Cover the stem beside a little more soil. In a few weeks, you should own a rooted plant that can be severed from the parent plant.
