Gardners advice-Rabbits and enhancing trees? Around us in zone 5 the rabbits be out of control...

Around us in zone 5 the rabbits be out of control this winter. I own saved some bushes they go after. But 2 small pretty ornamental flowering trees surrounding square still have no leaves and no sign of buds this spring. They peel off yelp and the trunk wood craked (stress ).
(I sprayed in fall down with inherent "predator" urine deterannts (I am concious about children and environment so I don't do strong chemicals) but to no avail. Should I skulk it out (how long) and hope they are in shock or assume they are gone and replace them.? Ideas something like bushes/shrubs the rabbitts will not enjoy so much? Is this simply the price of gardening?

Answers:    If the bark is stripped adjectives the way around the trunks after you have lost the trees. There isn't a channel to bring a tree with the yelp ringed from it, unfortunately. I'd replace them, and yes, it's the price of gardening.

Rabbits that sway around people don't really bat an eye at predator scent, unless they are exposed to those predators and next it might disturb them a little. Even if they've be hunted by predators they still have to put away, and will just be more sneaky give or take a few getting around, and they won't go away.

You can other try using wire or trunk wrap to protect trees from rabbits and other gnawers.
