I've never gardened a day contained by my life, and very soon I would like to start a small flower garden. I be thinking of planting some annuals, or maybe some bulbs.
What season do you plant bulbs? Will they bloom in the same year (such as annuals), or would it pocket a while (more like perrenials)?
Thanks for any information and sorry if I nouns clueless. :)
Answers: Different bulbs have to be planted at different times of the year. Hyacinths, Tulips, Crocus, Narcissus, those types should be planted around the commencement of December.
Gladiolus, Freesia, Ranunculus, ect should be planted in the spring.
The best entry to do is go to the store this summer and buy bulbs that are blooming, approaching lillies, and then plant them. They will def. bloom the subsequent year and you will already have foliage.
The eaisets to grow are lillies and tulips. Lillies can be kept surrounded by the ground all year long and tulips sprout up in need any fertilizer or anything needed. Get the stargazer lillies, I prefer the pink ones, they are HUGE, bigger than my hand, and hold a strong smell. You can pick out the stamen so when it rains the ginger pollen doesn't stain the flower.
there are a spring flowering and summer flowering bulbs. some of the spring flowering are daffodils, tulips, crocus. These stipulation to be planted the autumn before they bloom. There are also gladiolas. these are planted within the spring for late summer flowering. you can also plant dahlias surrounded by the spring for summer bloom as well.
well brought-up luck and enjoy your gardening. (I can't hang about to get hindmost out there!)
