my backyard is full of weeds and full of holes where on earth grass doesn't grow how do i get rid of those weed
If it is mostly weed, Kill of the lawn and start over. Rototiller the soil, put down a covering of good soil, turn again, and prepare to plant grass of lay sod.
Usually near that many weed, it has overtaken the grass, the weed roots are philosophical and it is a never ending combat to keep them beneath control.
If you don't want to poison your ground and wish to plant a garden or other things:
1) cut the tops past its sell-by date and don't water
2) wet heavily and pull up weed
3) buy a goat or bunnies and let them do the work for you, and enjoy free fertilizer, meat and milk.
Sorry, If this sounds BIZARRE to some but I am a naturalist and an organic gardener and own raised livestock.
