Answers:    My peach tree is about 12 foot maybe. A dwarf peach tree will receive to about 6 or 8 at the most. The point you don't find peaches in the winter is because they are seasonal. Peaches solitary grow and can be harvested unsettled spring through early decline. I harvested and froze the peaches of my little tree finishing September/october. When we moved here a year ago august (it's a year and a half now) I didn't even know we have a peach tree because there be no or no visible peaches on the tree contained by July. They were probably in attendance, but small and green so they blended in. We moved contained by the end of August and my husband come surrounded by with an armfull of peaches and said "did you know we have a peach tree?" Uh, ya, I do now! And the apple tree have just dropped a ton of apples on the prairie! If your sister doesn't want to deal near bees and ants I'll bet that backyard is downright boring! No flowers and just sward. I have a bunch of flowers and the two trees and the bees are not that discouraging. Don't plant mint though, THAT attracts a TON of bees! I'm getting an indoor avocado tree. I saw one for sale. They put it outside when the weather is heat and the bees pollinate the flowers, which later inside the house, turn into avocados! YUM!
I hope you aren't too anxious for these pies since it will hold 5-6 years to get peaches from trees planted immediately. Dwarf peach trees are not very soaring so that you can pick fruit high on branches next to a small ladder. Your best bet is to buy peaches at a farmer's open market in the summer and freeze them....inflict your trees won't make peaches surrounded by the winter either.
