We just put our pool up and don't hold them yet, but I am expecting them so I would close to to know how to get rid of them or even prevent them. Last year towards the finale of swimming season we started getting these long flat slimy worms around our AG pool and they would work their way up the side of the pool. (never saw one if truth be told in the pool). We kill them by pouring salt on them but they only just kept coming. I don't even know if they are worms but they were really skinny & some of them be pretty long (up to 12 inches). They were a muted brown colored with a triangle shaped pave the way and were flat. Thanks.

Slugs. Buy slug and snail control and sprinkle around the pool.
