I just applied the Scotts Summer Guard this past Sunday. Suddenly I'm notice yellow spots all over the patio again...just like closing year. The Summer Guard forumula claims it won't burn...so I couldn't have over fertilized. I can't tell if its Grubs or a Lawn Fungus type. Grr. Its spotted yellow and the grass is dead contained by the yellow spots. The spots all give the impression of being to be close to the house oddly enough. Any guidance? I called Scotts and they suggested putting Grubs treatment down and then try a Lawn Fungus treatment. The problem next to that is that's EXPENSIVE because I have a big yard.

Thanks
Answers:    If you have grubs you could confidently lift the grass in the troubled nouns as grubs eat the grass roots and kill the grass; grass at hand would be brown from decomposition. This way you can at least exterminate grubs as the problem for your yellow spots.
if your Japanese beetle infestation is ending, it may all right be grubs.. the new ones that are hatching from the eggs laid by the feminine beetles just only just.. prob close to where the flowers or trees attacked by the beetles be... like close to the house in the foundation plantings..

sward fungus comes in many types... and there's other problems that show up within mid summer heat, too... you would profit from a discussion with a being from a golf course who takes care of the greens and fairways!!. or your county extension organization agent..

there's a whole flock of us garden folks who will not have a bag-a-bug anywhere close at hand our gardens.. they call in every bug within the neighbor hood!!... and all it takes is a couple of the males to supply UP on the bag and go find a female and she'll drop off your plant and lay her eggs in YOUR patio cuz you called her and him over!. if you want to use the bags, use them by placing them out contained by the woods or on the light pole at the corner or anywhere BUT right in your patio!.buy one for your neighbor... heehee.no, not really. sigh...
