Can any one suggest a good hastily growing, evergreen tree, shrub or bush (don't want to rake anymore leaves) to use as a privacy and dust screen. Live within central california and are in the order of to have 50 strange homes go surrounded by directly across the street from our ranch. Would similar to to block as much view, dust and swish as possible. Construction will probably go on for a couple of years!
Answers: Hi:
In your climate zone in that are some good evergreen privacy trees. Here are a few suggestions:
Emerald Green Arborvitae - grows 10 to 20 foot and three to four feet a year.
Leyland Cypress - elevated evergreen upright - also will grow three to four foot a year.
Tea Olive - Osmanthus - ten to fifteen feet and also a nifty
grower. Great aroma and ornamental tree.
These are three popular trees that would work economically in your zone and provide worthy privacy.
Add some mushroom compost to each hole. This is a great natural fertilizer and will last up to one year.
I hope this have helped some and I will intertwine you to my gallery of plants section of the website. This have a variety of plant specimens as resourcefully as descriptions that may help you. I will also intermingle you to the site map, as this page has everything to be precise on the website. Browse through and see if you can find anything else that may help you. Good luck to you and enjoy a great day!
