Elephant ear queston?? well i hold elephant ear plants and i do not know what...
well i hold elephant ear plants and i do not know what to do when there is bleak weather, such as wind and greatly cold air.Well it kill all my elephant ears but i grew them again. The twist was frozen and pushed them and they get fragile and torn.So do i chop it, and cover it up near mulch, or any good thinking for it to look pretty and be strong for the bad weather.
Answers: I live within horticulture zone 7a and my elephant ears always come vertebrae in the spring. When the frost take them in the plunge just cut posterior the old comatose growth and wait for them to re appear. Now if during the spring and summer you running out up with a funky branch just cut it hindmost to the ground. If the wind is other messing them up you might consider planting a windbreak by them to help break the turn. Is it the south wind? Most credible. Make sure they get the marine they need surrounded by the summer. Hope this helps.
Well my elephant ears would shrivel and die within the winter but they always in recent times came final on their own. They are a very hardy plant. I would of late chop them down when they start to look bad and skulk for them to come back surrounded by the spring.
