Yes, they use the grass for purificate the stomach.. Musashi far as i know dog's and cat's east grass to make them self's sick (my dog doe's) but my cat dose it for the fun of it

Answers:    Most cats give the impression of being to like to do this and we can only assume in that is a natural reason why. There may be some slight nutritional benefit from the green grass, (as most cats are carnivores and don't want their veggies terrifically often) but most likely the cat eats it to give fiber which helps rid the cat of --aaaaakk-- hairballs.
So, yes. Probably.
