I can't seem to grow anything at my property in southern california's inland empire. It get really hot in summer and the ground is very not easy. Only roses seem to survive. When I plant any flowers or plants, they end up dying.
Anyone know any plant or flowers that can grow in my yard?
I own a lot of empty spaces between rose bushes that I want to spread up.
Answers:    I had good nouns with Lantana and Madagasgar Periwinkle <Vinca> when I lived in hot, dry Phoenix. In addendum, I would recommend Daylilies. They have developed many re-bloomers contained by recent years. It is nearly impossible to kill a day-lily. They are hardy as can be.

Good luck!
Well I know that our Aussie grevilleas are available over there. There's a hell of seriously of different forms from ground covers to trees. they have a long flowering period and birds love them. Some of the small mallee root forming Eucalyptus look greatly at home with roses too and might be more suitable because Grevilleas (Proteacea family) don't like phosphate fertilizers. Try succulents - yucca, cactus, century plants, etc. Or construe Mediterranean: vitex, olive, rosemary.
