I am looking to plant a evergreen Hedge around the back of my house. The Hedge will be about 550ft long and I would approaching it to be around 5ft in height. It would also be nice not to own to worry about shearing it into shape adjectives the time.

The Dwarf Burford Holly seems to be the perfect shrub for the living. From what I read it seems to be the right size, shape and have a clothed growth rate.

So my questions are: Is this a good dither plant? If so, with a 4 - 6ft spread how far apart should I plant them? What is the growth rate?(nothing I read gives an actual growth rate lately states medium) An finally, How much searing do they need? (they do not seem to stipulation much if any)

Also I live in Maryland.

Thanks
Answers:    one of the best. depends on size; 1 gallon=2'-3' apart; 3 gal. 3'-4'. rate=6"-8" a year. no, do not shear. wait until desired largeness and thin
