Does anyone know what munificent of snake this is that I saw surrounded by my patio today? It was intensely small.. about as skinny as a worm, but...

It was intensely small.. about as skinny as a worm, but give or take a few 2 or 3 times longer than a normal worm. It be white with red spots on it. I live surrounded by upstate New York. Does anyone have a clue what species of snake this was?? Or know of any apposite websites that could tell me? I tried google inquiring but can't come up with anything

Probably an Eastern Milksnake it is actually Red near white markings.

Probably a milk snake, they are also sometimes called spotted adders because they shake their tail, hiss really loud, and will bite if you harass them.
