Does any one know how to win rid of grass from the garden organically?
YES...get hold of it with your organic hand and pull it out..Good luck to ya!
Pull it out, or at lease cut it down. You can use hot water to kill it also if this is too concrete. Then bury it deeply with mulch, grass clippings, shredded leaves, straw or other natural material. If you keep it buried most of it will not come put money on and what does will be easy to pull out. It can thieve awhile, but the grass will diminish and eventually disappear if you keep it mulched. The organic substance also improves the soil and adds nutrients. You're asking if in that is an organic solution to selective herbicides. As fas I know, there is no product available. The most life thing you can do to selectively remove the weeds in need harming your plants is to "handpick".
If we're talking a warm-season grass resembling bermudagrass or st.augustine, forget it (your hands will not win the battle).
If bermudagrass, then herbicide.
If you enjoy clumping, grassy weeds, hire a laborer to spend the day handweeding.
Good Luck

a little grass is good for the soul. : )
Hi Sunshine,
A little grass surrounded by the garden never killed anyone but...
If your garden is already in production try 20% Acid horticultural vinegar sprayed on leaves / blades on a HOT SUNNY year. (Do not get this on your garden plants though.) May take more than one application.
You could alternately try a mulching strategy. A couple of inches of shredded yap, shredded wood or even leaves will block out the sun. You should start with a layer of robust black plastic (garbage bags usually aren't thick enough) or 5-10 layer of old newspaper. Work around plants and cut some slits for river to reach your soil. Grass under the mulch will washed out and die and mulch helps conserve soil moisture as an added bonus.
If you're starting from scratch beforehand populating your garden try sheets of black plastic laid out in the sun. The heat of the sun sterilizes the upper lode of your soil including killing seeds / living plants. After a couple of weeks you will be done and can use the plastic as a remains layer of a mulch as above. You might want to apply a bit of compost afterwards to reintroduce soil microbes that got baked contained by the process.
Best of luck to you.
You could till it, and use it for vegetables, organic of course. if that's too difficult for you, go and get someone else to do it. Try mixing a solution off salt and hose in a spray bottle, and spray directly on the weeds.
Boiling hose down will kill it. I fix the tea kettle, then when it whistle, take it out and pour the boiling water on grass and weed in the cracks between my brick pavers, and sidewalk sections. Some folks say to use boiling vinegar, but I
hve not found it necessary, as sea does the trick, and it's cheaper!
Good Luck!
