i have a pot of lucky rattan I have have for 9 years it is huge and it lives in with the sole purpose water and rocks , wicker spreads and quickly so remember that when planting
Please say LUCKY wicker because it is not bamboo at adjectives. It is a slow growing lilly of the Draceana genus. You can plant it in soil if you want, it will not speard approaching crazy.
Even REAL bamboo will not spead similar to crazy if it is clumping bamboo. Bamboo get an invasive reputation by people planting running rattan and knowing nothing in the order of its characteristics.

Answers: If your moms plant is in plain wet with a few marbles at the bottom of the jug your mom doesn't have a wicker plant, but a "look alike" plant. These plants usually have three or more rattan looking stalks in a pitcher. If this is what your mother has consequently no special care is required. Leave it surrounded by a sunny window, and bring in sure it has ample water contained by the vase. When the river gets cloudy, or green from algae transmutation the water.
Real wicker seedlings would be surrounded by soil, and is in the grass ethnic group.
