It depends on the type of jasmine and your sense of what smells "good". We have a few "hours of darkness blooming" jasmine plants and personally I love the smell but my brother can't stand them! I estimate it is lovely and vibrant, he thinks it is cloying and noxious. Before you plant, smell them at a nursery or a neighbors and you prefer.
