Answers:    The seed pod does indeed explode. You can wrap your foot around it and catch them.

adjectives impatiens root easily surrounded by water: 4-8 inch adjectives, strip lower leaves (if left within water they rot and stink) put surrounded by clear container of water. You'll see roots contained by 4-7 days. They'll live happily within water for months or you can pot them and hold on to inside until spring. (Not cold tolerant below 40 degrees)

Yes they own seed pods. When the flower wither and dies there is a nut pod left bringing up the rear. One must leave the kernel bod to dry and mature on the plant. You must survey to pick the pod and save the seed before it bursts on its own and reseeds fluently.
