This guy who does the landscapin at my job brought 2 to the workplace. They be lookin ill so I did some research. I bookish to wait til they dry out earlier waterin them again, and gentle mists are appreciated. So far, I've rejouvenated them, and spanking new buds are about to bloom.

But how can I convey if it's dead or merely dormant?

Answers:    " With the change of the day-length and cooler dark temperatures of the coming winter, The nobile Dendrobiums and their hybrids commence to make their transition preparing for their winter sleep. Their leaves turn yellow and fall down off, not need them for the next few months. By the time winter arrives they will be within a complete dormant condition. From November to February keep the plants dry. A street lamp spraying is permissible if the cane are very shriveled but should not be compulsory. Provide lots of light and fitting air circulation. By spring the plants will look intensely neglected with shriveled pseudobulbs and no leaves and if you did not know better you would have an idea that they were comatose and ready for the trash mountain."
