I have tree roots that surfaced surrounded by my lawn cause bumpy mowing. What can I cut the roots out with in need the soin dulling the blade?
Answers: Tricky situation depending on tree in put somebody through the mill.
As a rule of thumb, you can cut ONE 6 inch root a year.
Expect to see die back the subsequent season,
My suggestion is to put mulch all the route to drip line.
Add a few boulders, ferns or ground cover.
Do not box the problem, work with it.
Mulch will do nil but rot, hold moisture and feed the tree.
Now shift drink two beers and think it over.
no you will hold to dig aroung them, But you will eradicate the tree when you cut the roots,
